If I didn't like a book, why would I want to help or promote the book? No one is forcing me to read it. Why would I want to do that? The people who are trying to sell their book don't like the idea of someone not loving their book. If they like their book, they will do whatever they can to make sure it sells well. Why should I go out of my way to promote something that I don't like? This is the same reason why people shouldn't talk about how much they hate a movie, shouldn't try to ruin someone else's day by telling them how bad their food is or shouldn't even do anything that could hurt another person.
